Anthony James Williams – Medium What do we do with white folks? First, white folks need to stop being so late to the game and realize that anti-Black racism is a daily experience. They need to be called out by those who won’t get shot for doing it. Second, white folks need to continue to put their physical bodies on the line during direct actions because the reality is — they are rarely killed for it. As I read these articles I am left to wonder “What is the Black population actually asking for, it is not equality?” It is also NOT to remove a target that they believe every Black man has on his back either. (Sounds great to increase the volume in the Social Media, but is not supported in the data.) Supporting BLM Global Network is not the way either! Reparations? It amazes me how this one subject comes up as a solution to the marginalized Black community. Has anyone looked at the winners of Lotteries, their families were destroyed with the sudden influx of money. My belief is that humans are greedy, yes all of us. I also believe that no amount of resources will ever make the Black population satisfied, even when THEY have become the oppressors.

This is about all I have left of my parents.

The COVID numbers are about as low as they’ve ever been.

It is borderline too small, but we’re going with it on Saturday to write some tracks. I’ve bought a ton of equipment but not had a chance to put it all together. I decided that I needed to get this test accomplished before everyone came out and we couldn’t use the stuff.

The afternoon was spent replacing the taillight in the blue Focus. They decided to put the taillight behind solid metal such that the bulbs don’t poke through. To change a taillight lamp you have to remove the lining of the trunk. Then remove the taillights from the car, then remove the sockets the bulbs are inserted into. Geez. Dinner was Turkey mash potatoes and veggies. Church was after that where we discussed Acts 3-4.

Narrative: I’m skipping the time bullets today. It’s really early and i’m posting to my blog. I called my mom as usual and then we went to Snellville to get some shoes for Kathy. I went to THD to get extension cords and some more half height tubs for storage. No tubs, but i did get enough extension cords that I think will work. I need to lay them out and figure out what I am short. (Saturday 20th.) I researched the tubs after getting back home and found THD store on 120 had six of them. After picking them up I worked on separating the cords from the large tubs to the smaller ones. I also repaired our snake that the screws were falling out of.

This Is the ‘Abhorrent’ Message Gina Carano Was Fired for: “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors.… even by children”

With the online mob demanding immediate termination, Lucasfilm, a Disney subsidiary, fired Carano from her role as Cara Dune on the exclusive Disney Plus hit, “The Mandalorian. What her statement and the resulting reaction highlight is that the gravest threat to the purpose and utility of tolerance now comes from the prevalence of doxxing,  cancel culture and political violence. Carano’s post illustrates, more importantly, how people with unorthodox or unpopular opinions — the actress included — are often targeted by social and political mobs who enforce the “standards” of the day. There is no freedom to practice the beliefs by which you live; there is only the freedom to believe what the mob dictates you believe.

Narrative: I’m skipping the time bullets today. I woke up pretty early and checked the news this morning. Drove the wife to the stylist, the car was frozen over but the roads were clear. I took a long nap after we got back around noon.

I am very angry with CF, we’ve had this long running drama about letters and I am slap wore out trying to get them to do their part. I am going the rounds with CF and I am pretty angry at them. Two of the three sponsored children’s letters have started arriving within three weeks. (Totally acceptable) One we haven’t heard from in four months and all of them write English!

The red boxes are months without mail. The child writes a letter every month.

Are Executive Orders the will of the people?

Biden enlisted help before he was President to draft some of these Executive orders. Some of the people that were part of the Obama era and were more than happy to get their agenda back. I wonder though, are we so broken that legislation using the House that represents the people is not possible? It “Feels” like the overwhelming desire is to Cancel Trump rather than promote good lasting legislation that would survive the Biden Presidency. It doesn’t help America to flip/flop between Red/Blue every four years cancelling all the work of the previous administration.

I bought a small dehumidifier and ran it most of the evening, it didn’t change anything! I can move it to the garage but I still have to come up with a plan for the attic. 70% humidity is high enough to start mold growing. I did get some contractor bags to bag up the moldy insulation. I also got new windshield wipers for the car.

Republicans, he warned, were willing to work with Biden but also wouldn’t be shy about blocking bills they don’t support. Because of the 60-vote legislative filibuster, Democrats will need at least 10 GOP senators to pass most things.

Edmund Randolph would have been astonished at Day #2 of the Trump impeachment trial, as the prosecutors repeatedly called for conviction because Trump had dared to express his opinions. Narrative: I’m skipping the time bullets today. I’m up very early, sipp’n coffee and working on my blog. Reading for a minute about the Trump Impeachment trial. We got dressed in preparation for our Weekly meeting with the worship team.

Feelings: As Christians we are compelled to look after the Widows and the poor. Just how we do that in this climate when there is so much energy fighting the democracy I don’t know.

I am very angry with CF, we’ve had this long running drama about letters and I am slap wore out trying to get them to do their part. I am going the rounds with CF and I am pretty angry at them. Two of the three sponsored children’s letters have started arriving within three weeks. (Totally acceptable) One we haven’t heard from in four months and all of them write English!

The red boxes are months without mail. The child writes a letter every month.

Tomorrow: Sunday.

Retirement: We’ve spent 10K on an air conditioner, need to make that up.

Purchases: Conservation mode, we’re more than 3 paychecks in the hole.

Repairs:

Religion: We were called to read the book Crossing the Line, i am on chapter 5.

Family News: Going day by day.

Travel: Florida travel looks well out of reach!

Taxes: I need to finish them.

Edmund Randolph would have been astonished at Day #2 of the Trump impeachment trial, as the prosecutors repeatedly called for conviction because Trump had dared to express his opinions. One of those opinions, floated before the election, was that he’d win if the balloting was conducted fairly. Thus, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) charged Trump with telling “his supporters, the only way he could lose the election is if it was stolen. … He truly made his base belief [sic] that the only way he could lose was if the election was rigged.” What’s the political reality? First, candidates on the campaign trail routinely predict victory, even when they know the odds are stacked heavily against them. It’s an expression of confidence. In a potential sign of the hurdles to come, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sent a warning shot during one of his first floor speeches back in the minority. Republicans, he warned, were willing to work with Biden but also wouldn’t be shy about blocking bills they don’t support. Because of the 60-vote legislative filibuster, Democrats will need at least 10 GOP senators to pass most things.
