This Is the ‘Abhorrent’ Message Gina Carano Was Fired for: “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors.… even by children”
With the online mob demanding immediate termination, Lucasfilm, a Disney subsidiary, fired Carano from her role as Cara Dune on the exclusive Disney Plus hit, “The Mandalorian. What her statement and the resulting reaction highlight is that the gravest threat to the purpose and utility of tolerance now comes from the prevalence of doxxing, cancel culture and political violence. Carano’s post illustrates, more importantly, how people with unorthodox or unpopular opinions — the actress included — are often targeted by social and political mobs who enforce the “standards” of the day. There is no freedom to practice the beliefs by which you live; there is only the freedom to believe what the mob dictates you believe.
Are Executive Orders the will of the people?
Biden enlisted help before he was President to draft some of these Executive orders. Some of the people that were part of the Obama era and were more than happy to get their agenda back. I wonder though, are we so broken that legislation using the House that represents the people is not possible? It “Feels” like the overwhelming desire is to Cancel Trump rather than promote good lasting legislation that would survive the Biden Presidency. It doesn’t help America to flip/flop between Red/Blue every four years cancelling all the work of the previous administration.
This would work well as a autonomous controller, my only dilemma is that logging is necessary feature of these things to know they are working properly.
The COVID numbers getting reasonable.
Narrative: I’m skipping the time bullets today. I woke up pretty early and checked the news this morning. Drove the wife to the stylist, the car was frozen over but the roads were clear. I took a long nap after we got back around noon.
Feelings: As Christians we are compelled to look after the Widows and the poor. Just how we do that in this climate when there is so much energy fighting the democracy I don’t know.
I am very angry with CF, we’ve had this long running drama about letters and I am slap wore out trying to get them to do their part. I am going the rounds with CF and I am pretty angry at them. Two of the three sponsored children’s letters have started arriving within three weeks. (Totally acceptable) One we haven’t heard from in four months and all of them write English!
Tomorrow: Wednesday.
Retirement: We’ve spent 10K on an air conditioner, need to make that up.
Purchases: Conservation mode, we’re more than 3 paychecks in the hole.

Travel: Florida travel looks well out of reach!
Taxes: I need to finish them.
