Mr. President: Title VII, also referred to as The Civil Rights Act of 1964, was passed to prohibit employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. All incredibly good and necessary things at an important time in American history. But the addition of gender or gender identity is hugely problematic as it will necessarily privilege men over women and boys over girls. Gender identity renders sex-based protections null and void, replacing them with what are essentially nothing more than protections for sex-role stereotypes.
Are Executive Orders the will of the people?
In a potential sign of the hurdles to come, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sent a warning shot during one of his first floor speeches back in the minority. Republicans, he warned, were willing to work with Biden but also wouldn’t be shy about blocking bills they don’t support. Because of the 60-vote legislative filibuster, Democrats will need at least 10 GOP senators to pass most things.
A voice speaking a bit of truth.
Heather Higgins, chairwoman of the Independent Women’s Forum, suggested that the left’s current narrative of “unity” is coming across to the other side as being asked to “accept guilt” and “shut up.”
“There’s a lot of ‘we need to unify,’” Higgins told Jan Jekielek, host of The Epoch Times’ American Thought Leaders program on Jan. 20. “That’s the language now.”
But she said the unity they’re talking about is “‘you need to accept guilt for anything that we say that you need to accept guilt for,’ even if you’re not guilty; ‘you need to shut up, and you just need to go along with and comply with our point of view,’” Higgins pointed out. “Which is extremely unhealthy.” Heather Higgins: Silencing People and Forcing Them to ‘Accept Guilt’ Not the Way to Unity (theepochtimes.com)
Project Engineering: Layout new ductwork. With a variable speed compressor the temperature drop in the ducts has a much greater affect on the performance. The reason is that the forced air temp can be just a few degrees above the room temperatures. (Meaning that a few degree change becomes a large percentage of the heat/cool capacity into the room.) I’ve doubled the insulation on the 6″ ducts since they had the greatest surface area per volume of air. I’ve also doubled the long trunk line to the Master Bedroom since it’s length and the two 6″ ducts were affecting the air significantly. I encased the 8″ duct to the kitchen inside a 12″ duct. (Pretty easy actually.) and ran it to the vent over the microwave. I also encased 25 Feet of 8″ duct inside a 12″ duct for my cave yesterday. Reminds me of a really old Star Trek…
Heat pump and ducts are working pretty well, I have the guest bathroom to fix. I measured the temperatures of the rooms and how they responded to the heat sent into them.
My EcoFlow R600 Pro has finally arrived.
The COVID numbers continue to be pretty high.
Narrative: I’m skipping the time bullets today. We got a ton of letters on Sunday from CF but I’ve been unable to repair a couple of issues with them. My R600 wiring is crossed over between the input and output, they responded with a horrible answer.
Thank you for your support, and about the L and N pin, may connect reversely on the device or on the socket. When UPS mode, the power comes from your home grid directly to the appliance, so please be careful. and the DC at the same time will have a little shock risk. About the UL, we are still in the process, please note we will have a better solution in the future. Church tonight was a long process getting on Zoom, other than that it was fine.
Feelings: As Christians we are compelled to look after the Widows and the poor. Just how we do that in this climate when there is so much energy fighting the democracy I don’t know.
CF called me Wednesday and we had a long conversation about their shortfalls. It was pretty much the same theme at the end of the day, I need to be patient with them. That was until I mentioned that I’ve not had consistent mail since 2017, then they back peddled some…
