19 October 2018, A day from Mark’s past

Today’s Notes
General: Still feel strangely run down and my right side has numerous points that hurt when pressure is applied on the skin. My Lymph nodes on my neck are ok, but it sure feels like the ones on my arm are not happy with something… Auntie successfully changed mom’s address so she can get the new Social Security card. Also my Aunt was successful in purchasing a new mattress for mom’s mechanical bed. Mom managed to get a copy of her new Medicare Number yesterday, not sure how she did that. We had dinner at the crossing in Norcross, I couldn’t finish a Cobb salad for some reason. I started my “Z” pack antibiotic and my cough syrup for what could be a infection. My feet started tingling after having a couple of mini snicker bars late last night. My shoulder didn’t stop hurting until early morning.

General: Slept most of the day today, I was a walking zombie. Used the EGO inverter to test all four of my EGO 5AH batteries, they all ran about 3.5 hours supporting a 60W load.

17 October 2018, A day from Mark’s past

Today’s Notes
General: Woke up around 3 am and my skin was tingling all over. I couldn’t sleep so I am updating my blog until it settles down some. The floor at my Aunts house is installed and it looks very nice. Mom needs a new mattress and a chair before she’ll move. Spent a good while organizing the paperwork for my mother’s care. Sheesh, it’s a lot of stuff. We’re subdividing mom’s paperwork into a file folder. It looks like “Florida Blue” part F is what mom wants. A part D from the same company is about 44 bucks more a month. Dental is almost $400 which is beyond her budget. Speaking of Dental my 12 month waiting period should have expired and I need to get two teeth pulled.

Tomorrow:
Injuries: My shoulder is still bothering most of the day and now my elbow is preventing me from sleeping. I have been taking the muscle relaxer.

Today’s Notes
General: Spent almost all day working with my sister building a budget for my mother and her sister. We did pick up my new glasses, I got the same frame for three years running. My EGO chainsaw is back with the three batteries. I can now test the batteries with the EGO inverter and a IP camera. (Measure how long the battery can support a 60W load.)

Tomorrow: Ricky’s floor should be finished and we can start moving Nancy.

15 October 2018, A day from Mark’s past

Today’s Notes
General: Woke up at 0100 and having a hard time getting back to sleep. Making a pot of coffee to relax a little. Coffee was pretty good and I was able to sleep until 06:30. I didn’t do anything on my To Do list today. I did manage to mow a little of the yard along the driveway and trim the bushes. I did some research on the power capacity of a CR2032 lithium battery that’s used to power these flickering candles from Dollar Tree. I also did some research into the flickering LED used in those candles, quite fascinating actually.

Tomorrow: Ricky get’s the PVC flooring installed.

14 October 2018, A day from Mark’s past

Today’s Notes
General: Still in pain, but I slept most of the night. Wife made coffee so I am taking a minute to update this blog and sipping my Santo Domingo coffee. Church services went good, in fact everybody loved the service that I talked to today. Came home and uploaded the services to the church website then I went to bed. After my nap it was beautiful outside and the lawn was beckoning me to mow it. Most of the lawn (Real Grass) doesn’t need mowing, but the weeds are pretty high. Thinking I’ll mulch it. I was wondering if I should start adding pictures which would make it too close to what Facebook platform does effectively ruining any need for this blog. (I could make all my posts to FB instead.) I did check the logs of my website, I couldn’t find anyone reading it but me. I mowed the front lawn today, I only have one EGO battery here.

Tomorrow: A day of rest and cleanup from our trips.

Injuries: My Shoulders and elbows are hurting and I don’t know why.

Mom: Neighbor news cannot give us the entire amount as one lump sum. She has a hurt Knee and a swollen ankle, but did do chores on her own tonight.
Aunt: Flooring install is scheduled for Tuesday 16 Oct, she has a couple pieces of large furniture that needs to be moved and one room’s baseboards to remove.
Sis: Talked for a time about Nancy, busy as usual.

General: Help with Women’s day… Got up at 07:00 and I was not rested. Arrived at the play on time. Setup and the play went awesome. Went home around 6PM and I’m exhausted!

Tomorrow: Church setup at 08:00 and service at 10:00.

Injuries: My shoulder still bothers me quite a bit. I did take a muscle relaxer without complications today.

Today’s Notes
General: Slept in a little later than I wanted to but Housekeeping knocked on our door until she came in on us because we didn’t answer. Sheesh, they should keep track of those who check out versus going down the hallway and knocking on EVERYONE’s door multiple times! We packed up and left for home but forgot a notepad with all my wife’s notes for school. We’ll call tomorrow and hopefully regain control of it. Trip home was normal for a Friday, lots of traffic… Arrived about 6PM, which is not bad. The house didn’t seem to have any repercussions from the hurricane that passed 100 miles to our south. The car is unpacked and the living room floor shows it.

Tomorrow: Help Prepare for the Women’s day play starting at 08:00.

Injuries: Both my shoulders are hurting to the point of not using them anymore than I have to.

11 October 2018, A day from Mark’s past

Today’s Notes
General: Slept pretty good upstairs since the temperature dropped significantly overnight. Had my French toast for breakfast with Strawberries from the garden. Packed up our bags and drove to Louisville Ky. (Well Almost, the hotel was right across the border.) No big issues driving through the countryside. (Instead of downtown Chicago.) The hotel had issues. My wife received a glass of water with 6″ strip of silicon sealant in it. (Probably from the ice maker.) Some of her lettuce was brown and disgustingly wilted. The bathroom door hinge was rusted so bad it was hard to close. And there was a tinge of black stuff growing underneath the soap dish. The room had a very pungent smell, maybe a freshener or something. (Some of these rooms were probably smoking rooms once upon a time.) The king sized bed was higher in the middle than on the edges and I got a pulled muscle from trying not to roll off the bed.

10 October 2018, A day from Mark’s past

Today’s Notes
General: Did not sleep well at all last night. It is unseasonably warm here and the room we’re occupying was probably in the middle to high 80’s last night. I tried to open a window, but the road noise was unacceptable to my wife so I laid in bed sweating. The temp + humidity was too uncomfortable for me to stay sleeping especially wearing a CPAP which provides warm, moist air. Hopefully it will cool off today, if not then we’ll sleep separately or we are headed for the hotel for the evening. (I have to have a good night’s rest to drive 6 hours to Louisville KY tomorrow.) It is in the 70’s outside, but the house holds heat pretty well. (I am not acclimated to a closed room in a hot house without air conditioning.) Found refuge in an upper bedroom that has windows I could open. I finally got some sleep. After a HUGE supper tonight I retired early and the upper bedroom cooled off pretty quickly with the cold front moving through the area. Checked my cameras in Atlanta and it’s raining pretty good back home and some wind, didn’t look really bad yet. It’s going to get steadily worse over the evening through tomorrow morning. I’ll check the cameras several times tonight.
